SENIOR FLORIST,

CONTRACT TYPE: Full time, permanent
LOCATION: Battersea, London
WORKING HOURS: 3am on Monday’s. 3:00 – 9:00am start, Tuesday – Friday depending on business needs. A minimum of 10 Saturday’s per year

We’re looking for a highly experienced florist to join the team at PAUL THOMAS. This role is of central importance to the company and is an exciting opportunity to work across all departments including ecommerce bouquets and events with a main focus on regular contracts. The right candidate will have the chance to play a key role in an experienced and fun team in a busy environment and will be given the opportunity to develop their skills.

This is a full time, hands-on role, that demands a flexible attitude to working days and hours to ensure that PAUL THOMAS continues to offer its clients the highest quality product and service.

Working closely with our Founder & Creative Director, Paul Thomas-Jeffreys and a team of master florists, the successful candidate will create and deliver truly extraordinary flowers.

DUTIES

  • Making, delivering and installing flowers in all areas of the business, overseen by Senior Management.
  • Supporting Contract managers on pulling vases, designing installations and making
  • Supporting the different areas of the business such as the shop and events where required
  • Supporting client requests as and when they come in
  • Ordering and buying flowers from the local flower market or online
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key suppliers and clients
  • Support the Gifting Manager in replying to shop emails
  • Staying up to date with current design trends and sharing new techniques with the wider team when learnt
  • Make deliveries as and when needed to our London based clients 
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy workspace

THE CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will:

  • Have at least 5 years’ experience within the floral and shop industry 
  • Must possess an excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal  
  • Will possess a genuine passion for floristry and the energy to tackle every event, large or small, with enthusiasm  
  • Preferred but not essential – Will hold a full UK driving licence and be happy to drive vans on occasion

THE ROLE

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the gifting department, ensuring efficiency and
    excellent customer service.
  • Manage and support the gifting florist, providing guidance and ensuring high-quality floral
    designs.
  • Handle phone, email and walk-in customers, assisting with orders and inquiries.
  • Produce quotations and mood boards for clients regarding gifting activations.
  • Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with all clients.
  • Manage and resolve customer complaints professionally and effectively.
  • Organise couriers for timely and accurate flower deliveries.
  • Monitor and manage the shop’s budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability.

  • Support the growth of our online floral gifting service by understanding digital ordering processes and customer expectations for online sales.

OPERATIONS & TEAM ASSISTANT,

JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a reliable, hands-on Operations and Team Assistant to work closely with the General Manager in supporting the smooth, efficient day-to-day running of our luxury floral studio. This role is integral to the backbone of our operations—supporting staffing, studio organisation, and internal logistics—allowing our creative and client-facing teams to excel.

The successful candidate will be proactive, practical, and organised, with a strong sense of responsibility and a willingness to step in wherever needed.

DUTIES

        Support for the General Manager & wider team

  • Act as a key point of operational support to the General Manager, assisting with the coordination of daily studio activities and ensuring business needs are met across teams.
  • Help manage the studio’s daily flow—spotting potential issues early and resolving them independently or escalating when appropriate.
  • Provide hands-on support with studio setup, resourcing, team communication, and internal planning.
  • Ensure that the General Manager has clear visibility on staff schedules, supply levels, and operational progress at all times.
  • Support each department with logistics.
  • Weekly financial support with invoicing and debtors chasing.

        Scheduling

  • Draft and update weekly staff rotas, ensuring coverage is aligned with event and contract timelines.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with team members to ensure everyone is briefed and prepared for their responsibilities.

        Studio & Warehouse Oversight

  • Ensure the studio is always safe, tidy, and operating efficiently.
  • Oversee the condition and usage of the studio space, ensuring any facilities issues are addressed promptly and assisting with day-to-day coordination of contract requirements tied to the studio

        Fleet Support

  • Coordinate van maintenance and cleanliness, booking MOTs and repairs as needed, and ensuring all vehicles are ready for use.

       Health & Safety

  • Support the General Manager in maintaining a safe working environment across the studio and warehouse.
  • Ensure safe storage of all tools, materials, and chemicals in line with H&S standards.
  • Maintain valid First Aid certification and act as the designated first aider on-site.

        Professionalism & Team Culture

  • Represent the company professionally within the studio and when interacting with clients, suppliers, or external contacts.
  • Foster a positive, can-do atmosphere among the operations and studio teams by setting a calm, steady tone.

EVENTS MANAGER,

CONTRACT TYPE: Full time,

JOB DESCRIPTION
This is an exciting opportunity to work for one of London’s leading florists, managing events within the UK and internationally. As part of the management team, the successful candidate will work closely alongside our Events team in creating and delivering exceptional floral designs for a multitude of HNW clients, top venues, and leading events companies.

THE ROLE
The Events Manager at PAUL THOMAS will be responsible for buying for, making, and managing events. Responsibilities will include:

    • Manage relationships between PAUL THOMAS and clients
    • Designing and executing proposals for events, creating the floral designs, which will range from simple bud vases and buttonholes through to dramatic urns and centrepieces
    • Calculating the volumes of flowers and foliage required, ordering, and buying from the flower market and from Dutch suppliers
    • Oversee the setup and arrangement of floral displays on the day of the event. Make real-time adjustments to ensure that everything looks perfect and adheres to the original vision when onsite.
    • Lead a team of florists and assistants during the event and whilst in the studio making. Delegate tasks, provide guidance, and ensure that the team works cohesively to achieve the desired results.
    • Research, select, and purchase flowers from various suppliers, considering factors like freshness, quality, and seasonal availability. Develop relationships with flower growers and wholesalers to ensure a reliable supply.
    • Ensuring the impeccable standards and iconic PAUL THOMAS style is reflected in every event
    • Address any unexpected challenges that may arise, such as flower availability issues or last-minute design changes. Find creative solutions while maintaining the integrity of the event’s design.
    • Stay up to date with the latest trends and innovations in the floristry and event management industries. Integrate new ideas and techniques into your work to keep your designs fresh and appealing.

THE CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate:

  • Have at least 5 years’ experience within the floral and events industry
  • Must possess an excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal
  • Will be comfortable with taking responsibility for managing teams and projects
  • Will need to possess first class IT skills and understanding of Microsoft Office programmes, as a large part of this role will be creating proposals and visuals for our clients
  • Will possess a genuine passion for floristry and the energy to tackle every event, large or small, with enthusiasm
  • Will have a strong grasp of the commercial side of the floristry industry
  • Ideally, but not necessarily, the candidate will hold a full UK driving licence and be happy to drive vans where necessary

We’re looking for an experienced and diligent Driver to join our team at PAUL THOMAS. This role will report into the General Manager and is of central importance to the company. The right candidate will have the chance to play a key role in an experienced and fun team within a busy environment and will be given the opportunity to develop their skills.

This is a full time, hands-on operational role, that demands a flexible attitude to working days and hours to ensure that PAUL THOMAS continues to offer its clients the highest quality product and service.

The successful candidate will work closely with a team of florists to assist them with making, delivering and derigging floral installations whilst supporting the Warehouse Assistant in its day to day operations.

THE ROLE

  • Delivering and installing flower displays to VIP clients across London
  • Delivery flower bouquets across London
  • Supporting the maintenance and upkeep of the business fleet
  • Keep a clean and safe working environment
  • Assisting the Warehouse Assistant to maintain a well organised warehouse/workspace
  • Cleaning and packing of vases
  • Assisting florists on a day-to-day basis.

THE CANDIDATE

  • Have at least 2 years’ experience driving – ideally vans up to a Luton Crafter size
    Be able to lift heavy objects
  • Comfortable spending a full day driving across London
  • Must possess an excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal
  • Will be interested in the florist industry and have the energy to tackle every event, large or small, with enthusiasm
  • Will understand the ethos that no task is too big or too small
  • The candidate must hold a full UK driving licence
  • The successful candidate should be happy with early starts and willing to work at the weekend

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a strategic and creative Content and Communications Manager to lead our brand, content, and communications efforts. This role is ideal for a highly organised and visually driven marketer who thrives in a fast-paced, design-forward environment. You will be responsible for growing brand visibility, customer engagement, and sales through cohesive storytelling, content creation, and digital strategy.

DUTIES

Content Creation & Brand Storytelling

  • Plan, produce, and edit high-quality visual and written content across social media, email, website, and print.
  • Conduct regular photoshoots of floral arrangements, studio work, and events.Develop engaging stories around products, seasonal themes, and customer experiences.
  • Ensure a consistent brand voice and aesthetic across all channels
