This festive season, we were delighted to transform the Rosewood London with Christmas decorations inspired by Charles Dickens, one of Bloomsbury’s most iconic former residents. Just steps away from the hotel, Dickens penned stories that continue to shape the way we imagine Christmas today, making it the perfect inspiration for a seasonal installation rooted in London’s literary history.
Our vision was to blend literature, atmosphere, and festive wonder, where guests could step into the chapters of a classic Christmas tale. From warm candlelit tones to textured winter foliage, each element was designed to echo the charm of Victorian storytelling, while enhancing the hotel’s elegant architecture.
Throughout the hotel, subtle literary details, from old London lanterns to pages of Christmas carols transformed into decorations, alongside handcrafted floral elements pay tribute to Bloomsbury’s unrivalled literary heritage. The intention was not simply to decorate, but to create a fully immersive environment – a living, breathing storybook where tradition meets luxury.
At the heart of The Rosewood’s Christmas design is a celebration of craftsmanship, imagination, and the enduring magic of the holiday season. It has been a joy to honour Dickens’ legacy through this festive transformation and to create an enchanting experience for guests visiting London at Christmas.
If you’re looking to bring luxury, story-led Christmas décor to your own residence, venue, or brand this season, we’d be delighted to create a bespoke festive design for you. Contact events@paulthomasflowers.co.uk to discuss your ideas.
