“That Jacket!” – A Living Tribute to Oscar Wilde, Style, and Sustainability
PAUL THOMAS Unveils Exclusive Floral Installation at The Cadogan, A Belmond Hotel, for Chelsea in Bloom 2025
We are delighted to reveal “That Jacket!”, a bold and expressive floral installation created for The Cadogan, A Belmond Hotel, London, as part of this year’s Chelsea in Bloom. In line with the 2025 theme, ‘Flowers In Fashion’, our design draws inspiration from one of the hotel’s most iconic former patrons, Oscar Wilde, and his celebrated quote: “One should either be a work of art or wear a work of art.”

The piece reimagines Wilde’s signature flamboyance as a striking floral jacket, brought to life using over 2,000 calandiva plants in shades of pink. The installation will be on public display from Monday, 19th May to Sunday, 25th May, along the Chelsea in Bloom trail.
Over 250 hours of work and a team of 15 people worked on the installation
As always, responsibility is central to our work and a large portion of the live plants used will be repurposed following the event, reducing waste and extending their life.

We are proud to partner once again with The Cadogan to create an installation that merges art, fashion, and floristry, honouring heritage while embracing responsible design.
The installation was awarded with Gold at the Chelsea In Bloom Awards 2025.
